Just a few years ago, Google Earth was the only tool to help you see all satellite and 3D images. But now, Google Maps has almost provided all of these features. However, Google is still quietly developing Google Earth. The company has continued to add a measurement tool, allowing users to measure the distance, area, and perimeter of anything on this service map. In this article, we will learn about Google Earth’s measurement and how to measure distance on Google Earth app. Let’s get started.
Measuring on Google Earth – more than expected
With the new tool, users can measure the distance between two points or the surface area of a selected map segment. In addition, the tool also allows selecting a bolder of any area, helping to measure the area of objects with no specific shapes, such as parks, buildings or even the area of a country.
Currently, the feature is available on the web, Android and iOS. However, Google Earth is only developed and used in certain countries. If you access Google Play or AppStore and can’t find Google Earth, download it here.
